Upcoming trading leaderboard prizes discussion

As outlined in our most recent blog article:

Let’s talk about the following:

We would like to use our existing airdrop tool to distribute rewards amongst top traders according to the trading leaderboard. Most likely we will start by using SATURN tokens, and then moving forward work with other projects to provide various tokens as prizes.

It would be great to hear some feedback from our community in regards to this concept:

  • How regularly should we distribute prizes? Weekly or monthly?
  • What should be the main ranking for the leaderboard? We think it should be volume traded, as this can very easily be displayed as by the number of Saturn tokens a trader has trade mined.
  • What places on the leaderboard should be considered a winner? As in would you prefer it being bigger prizes for few or smaller prizes for many.
  • Should there be a minimum number of trades completed or orders created required to be eligible?

That was just a couple of questions to get your mind flowing, if you have any different ideas then let’s hear them!

Hi Sam,

  • How regularly should we distribute prizes? Weekly or monthly?
=> Why not both, smaller prize weekly, bigger prizer monthly. I am a fan of football, like we have Player of the match, week, month, and season.

  • What should be the main ranking for the leaderboard? We think it should be volume traded, as this can very easily be displayed as by the number of Saturn tokens a trader has trade mined.
=> Only Taker get trade mined, market maker should also be recognized. Total volume traded (both taker & maker) is a possible ranking metric. However, this is a same purpose as trade mined, we should reward other entities, not the ones who already got trade mined reward, by using other metric.
_> Leaderboard of the most profitable trader if possibly implemented is good. _
=> Another metric I can think of now is ranking by number of fill order, meaning how active users are in trading. The more they trade, the more gas fee they pay, hence, they deserve to be recognized even though their trading volume is low because of small size orders => This is also good because we eliminate the influence of “shark” trader by treating everyone the same

  • What places on the leaderboard should be considered a winner? As in would you prefer it being bigger prizes for few or smaller prizes for many.
=> This is quite simple, top 3 are fair enough. If we want to give out more prize, we just build up more award, like daily, weekly, monthly, yearly winner

  • Should there be a minimum number of trades completed or orders created required to be eligible?
    [/quote]
=> This is pretty clear if we rank traders by their activeness in trading instead of trading size.

These are my 2 cents. Thanks.

is leaderboard just for Saturn Classic / DAO or are you planning to count other Token also?

#4

plan to do exchange wide. 1 leaderboard for ETC/all_etc_tokens, 1 leaderboard for ETH/all_eth_tokens
